healing - emotional / physical - salvation - Jesus healed the man at the pool

 Godly forgiveness is a release of responsibility to judge the wrong doer. A release is to put the ball back in the person's court and say: Find someone else to play with you.

You finally gain back the "control" instead of letting the "you got me so bad" feeling deep seated in your soul.
---- What does healing mean ? ---------
Jesus healed a man at the "jacuzzi" pool side. (John 5:1-15)
Jesus asked the lame man (muscular issue for a long time) :
Do you want to be healed?
The man replied: "No one help me".
When Jesus connected with you, healing comes.
Jesus required the man do one thing.
Jesus said: "Get up, take your bed (mat) and go (walk)" -
(meaning : The man didn't have to stay around - move on. )
The man boldly witnessed to the Jews that Jesus touched his life.
(Healing requires "Faith" + "Action" )
The man still has to do "self-care" to maintain his body / emotion to a functional level.
(Jesus didn't promise to carry the man after healing ).
The man must do the walking. I am sure the man became Jesus' follower.
Jesus met him again at the temple. (John 5:14)

The Holy Spirit imparts the GIFT of faith through Gospel and Sacrament.
